Being back in New Zealand for a holiday gave me an opportunity to spend some time with my gorgeous niece and obviously take some photos of her. She is the cutest wee thing and sharp as a fox – although she’ll prefer to tell you that today she is a Giraffe or a Zebra, depending on how she feels. Nothing gets past her and you can see the intense concentration as she processes her carefully thought out reply, which more often than not simply amazes everyone. I found myself wondering how someone so young knows so much…….scary. She is a precious little human being and we all love her very much!
Gardens By The Bay – Off-Site Part 1
Forming part of the new Gardens By The Bay development in Singapore are two large conservatories designed by UK Architects, Wilkinson Eyre Architects. The two conservatories have their own roles to play in this 54 hectare garden at Marina South. The cool-dry conservatory will explore issues related to plants and people, whilst the cool-moist conservatory will focus on plants and the planet.
I have been documenting the construction of the conservatories on a monthly basis. Due to a media ban on all images taken on site I can only only show images that I have taken from outside of the site. Here are a few progress shots taken during April and May 2010 of the Cool Dry Conservatory during the earlier stages of construction.

Cyclone Classic Team Time Trial
The cycling team I race with were competing in this event. We had members racing in both the Mixed Duo and Open Men’s category. The Open Men’s team placed first and the Mixed Pair placed third. A great effort all round from the team.
Cyclone Classic Individual Time Trial
The Cyclone Classic ITT was held last Sunday on Changi straight here in Singapore. Here are a few images of the Open Men category.
Singapore 70.3 Ironman
My Partner Gabi was competing in the team relay event of the Singapore 70.3 Ironman so I went down to lend some support and take a few shots of her and some friends. Here are a few random images from the day.
Emma & Nic got engaged
One of my good cycling buddies Nic got the answer he was after when he asked the lovely Emma to marry him. I was asked by my friend Annette of Annie la Rue Photography to be the second shooter for their engagement shoot at Club Street. Being tasked with shooting candids and shots from varying angles as the shoot progressed made for an interesting couple of hours. It was an extremely hot day but we had fun and we got some good images for Emma and Nic to look back on. Watch out for their wedding photos as Annette and I will be shooting the wedding at the end of June. Annette has a wonderful eye and her blog is worth a look – you can view her recent work at http://annielarue.com/blog/
